Georgetown is somewhat unique among Delaware municipalities in that the center of the town is built around a circle, instead of the more traditional parklike square. Straddling "The Circle", as it is unsurprisingly called, is the Town Hall, State and County buildings, including the newly renovated Brick Hotel.

Town of Georgetown Publishes Delinquent Taxpayers
Georgetown – The Town of Georgetown is publishing a listing of delinquent property taxes with outstanding balances. The decision to publish this information is one more step the Mayor and Town Council has taken to collect all monies due to the municipality.
Prior to publication all individuals and businesses with outstanding property taxes, were notified in writing that this information would be published.
Late in 2009, the Town of Georgetown offered a Tax Amnesty Program where penalties and interest would be waived, provided the property taxes were paid before December 18, 2009. The amnesty program netted $26,056.95 in outstanding taxes owed the Town.
The Town of Georgetown joins other municipalities and Sussex County Council in publishing this information. Anyone who has questions concerning their Town Property Taxes is encouraged to contact the Town at (302) 856-7391.
