Education: Shepherd College (BS), Virginia Tech (MAcc)

Gene Dvornick was appointed Town Manager in March 2007. Mr. Dvornick brings 20 plus years of professional experience in business management, administration, accounting and finance.

Mr. Dvornick served on the following statewide and local government initiatives: ViTAL Economy - Economic Development for Rural Communities (DEDO); Brownfield Process Redesign (DNREC); Communities in Transition (UD - College of Marine Studies) and most recently, Delaware Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy - Sussex County (DEDO).

Outside of wok he is active as an Assistant Fire Chief with the Milton Fire Department; Board Member for the First State Community Action Agency and Treasurer of the Milton Lions Club. Mr. Dvornick is a firm believer in strong communities and is looking forward to working with the residents and Council to maintain and improve Georgetown.
