Linda Zelo was born and raised in Long Island, NY. She moved to Delaware in 1992 and worked in the private sector until being hired by the Georgetown Police Department in 2005 as the Assistant to the Police Chief.
Aside from her many obligations to the Chief of Police, she also acts as the departmental secretary, responsible for grants for maintenance and any department building repairs or upgrades, receive and docket court subpeonas for the officers, greets civilians and assists them with their requests, maintains and answers requests for documents for the Attorney General's office as well as insurance companies requesting copies of reports. She also maintains and assists with the DEA assest seizures to oversee tracking of the monies due the police department.
Ms. Zelo is also Bilingual assisting the Hispanic population with translation, assists officers with translation as needed, and offers her services as a Notary.
