68.0° FThe Georgetown Police Department has been selected to receive funding from the Eddie Byrne 2011 grant process. The allocation for the Town of Georgetown is $15,013. The funds will be used to help complete the project of installing updated digital mobile video recording systems in Town police vehicles. These camera systems are an advancement of the current videotaping systems and allow for better evidence collection, storage and retrieval. The objective is to install these systems in all patrol vehicles as the funding becomes available.
