Derrick Calloway

Patrolman First Class Derrick Calloway had been employed with the Georgetown Police Department since May of 2012. 

Patrolman First Class Calloway is currently assigned to the patrol division. Patrolman First Class Calloway also serves as a firearm instructor and is a member of the department’s Emergency Response Team (ERT). Prior to coming to Georgetown, Patrolman First Class Calloway worked for the Fruitland Police Department from 1997-2002 and then with the Laurel Police Department from 2002-2012. While Patrolman First Class Calloway was employed with the Laurel Police Department he held the rank of Detective Sergeant and was in charge of Criminal Investigations. In addition to Criminal Investigations, Patrolman Calloway also served as the departments Evidence Custodian, Public Information Officer, Firearm Instructor and a member of the departments Emergency Response Team.

Patrolman First Class Calloway has received numerous awards to include the Chief’s Award,  Police Officer of the Year, 2006 Delaware Crime Stoppers Investigator of the Year, Life Saving Award, and the Delaware State Police Exceptional Performance Award.
